Wearing a uniform gives Cub Scouts a sense of identification and commitment to the goals of Scouting. The awards displayed on the uniform mark significant milestones in every Scout’s progress in achieving these goals and successfully practicing Scouting’s ideals.
Unless your den or pack leaders says otherwise, always wear your Field Uniform (also called the “Class A”) to all Scouting activities — not only den and pack meetings, but every activity in which you take part with other Cub Scouts. The shirt should always be tucked in and orderly. Everyone should understand the importance of representing the entire Boy Scout of America organization while in uniform.
LIONS FIELD UNIFORM
For Cub Scouts Lions (Kindergarteners only)

CUB SCOUT FIELD UNIFORM
For Cub Scouts ranks Tigers through Webelos 1 (grades 1-4)
- Rank-specific neckerchief
- Rank-specific neckerchief slide
- Official blue Cub Scout short sleeve shirt (This shirt should last through the 4th grade, so size it appropriately!)
- Official Cub Scouts blue web belt (to show off adventure loops!)
- World Scout Crest & Ring emblems
- Chickasaw Council shoulder patch
- Pack numeral patches (261)
Optional:
- Official Cub Scouts or shorts (Any navy blue pants/shorts will do)

WEBELOS FIELD UNIFORM
For Cub Scouts ranks Webelos through Arrow of Light (grades 4-5)
- Webelos neckerchief

- Webelos Colors (tri-colored shoulder ribbons)
- Official tan Scouts BSA shirt (long or short sleeve) (This shirt should last beyond the 5th grade, so size it appropriately!)
- Official Scouts BSA belt (Also optional but recommended.)

- Patrol patch (ask your den leader)

ACTIVITY UNIFORM (CLASS B)
The Activity Uniform, also known as the “Class B”, is a special T-shirt that Pack 261 provides to each registered Cub Scout ($10 cost). These T-shirts do not replace the Field Uniform (that’s how they display their hard-earned patches), but they do serve a purpose for certain occasions like summer camp.
When specifically instructed by den and pack leaders, Scouts may wear their Field Uniform (usually when a messy activity is planned). They’re great for times when we want to be a group but don’t want to loose or damage their uniforms with rough play and adventure.
PATCH PLACEMENT
The pack will provide (at no cost) the Cub Scout adventure loops, rank badges, temporary patches, and all other award pins. You will need to attach them to the uniform, but they are provided.
